I understood you meant the "publicness" of the fare came via the fact that the fare is available via SABRE, which doesn't make it really all that public since SABRE doesn't hold 100% market share and AC call centres could not quote the fare JRCW.

The fare is available in all GDS systems now and via AC phone res. Its a big drop from the usual $4200.00 JR fare. Obviously, it was created in reaction to web content on a single GDS, which is interesting b/c SABRE deal has now benefited all the other GDS systems.

The actual webfare, JRCW (same cost) is exempt from all marketing promos and certificates as per the fare rules.
