Exactly. "Upfare to Z" would be the magic words. I would also not mention "GG BUYUP." If the agent tries to charge me a change fee, I just tell them there should be no fee for the upfare. From that point, it's either ask for a supervisor or HUACA.
The knowledge we learn on FT should not always be shared in specific detail with a phone agent. It's not necessarily helpful to let them know you know the specifics of how the system works.
absolutely right. Call until you get an agent who understands upfare. Referring one who doesn’t to GG BUYUP no longer seems helpful. I did this twice this week (dropped end of year trip would otherwise have left me short PQMs) with no challenges - both agents knew exactly what I needed and how to do it.
