On the newer aircraft i.e. A380, 787-9 and 787-10 Sport 24 is available and usually shows a live game during the flight. See the link to their PDF - https://www.etihad.com/Documents/IFE/Sport-24.pdf.

The Sport 24 site has an interactive schedule here: Sport 24 | so maybe you'll get lucky.

I'm not sure about the speed but if you do use Etihad WiFi then be aware of the cost. They no longer offer 1 price for complete flight. It's now tiered and pretty expensive:
  • $4.95 for 30MB
  • $11.95 for 90MB
  • $19.95 for 180MB
