Finally the 120K Marriott points posted to AA today as 50K miles. I did open a ticket with Marriott yesterday (Nov-21) so not sure if that was responsible for the posting today.

This is very unpredictable and random. I'm considering to do a United transfer but wondering if I the uncertainty is worth it. For what it's worth, I lost the award space due to the delay in posting by one day. Got the flight a day later which is not bad in the grand schema of things, but not a good experience.

Thanks to the posters on this forum, very helpful. I will post again if/when I transfer to United. In the meantime, please feel free to PM me or ask here for any data points, happy to help.
What did you say when opening the ticket? I want to do the same to see if it will accelerate the posting of the miles.
