I have less than a 50 dollar credit and want to use it up

If anyone cares to advise, I have about 30 left on my Amex reimbursement account. Has anyone tested to see what will happen if I order a 50 dollar GC? Will I get the remaining reimbursement applied or will I get nothing since the reimbursement account can’t completely cover the transaction by itself?
