I'm impressed you crossed by foot into Paraguay; we drove across going to Asuncion - from what I've read it's unsafe in AGT, especially the bridge crossing which is a "no-man's land" as far as policing.
Salta is one thing I'm missing - definitely seems like a worthwhile trip.
