The first 2 transfers (for 60K each) went through as expected based on other DPs - took 2 days and showed up in United account activity backdated to date of initiated transfer from Marriott. The 3rd transfer (for 60K) did not show up in 2 days. I reached out to Marriott and they said that the transfer had been sent from Marriott's end and I should contact United. Upon contacting United, they said that it can take up to 15 business days. The transferred miles had still not shown up after the 15 business days. I contacted United via their website form with screenshots of the transfer and the miles showed up in my United account the next day (backdated to 10/24)!
I had a similar experience, but with a shorter time frame. Transferred just over 83K points to United on 11/12. Yesterday (11/19), the miles were not in my United account. Called Marriott. Was informed that they transferred the points on 11/13. They opened a case and escalated to a "specialist" and told me it usually takes 3 business days for them to review the case. As of this morning, the miles are now reflected in my United account with a backdated post date of 11/12.
I did call United to see they could help and they also told me that they would only help if it had been at least 15 days since the transfer was initiated. The rep pointed to problems on the hotel's side and that it was "becoming pretty common". Point is, if your transfer isn't completed in a few days, it can't hurt to call ask them to escalate.
