SPG Points no longer exist; wherever you saw the 1:1 SPG:QR ratio needs to update their website. The conversion is now 3 Marriott points become 1 Qatar point. Since 1 SPG point became 3 Marriott points, the current 3 MR:1 QR ratio is exactly equivalent to the old 1 SPG:1 QR ratio.
