I was around during the 1.0 days when you could get an award every 16 segments, and that was nice, but now I've got points that are more flexible to me. e.g., I once burned 8 awards to take a bunch of people to AUA in J on FL, but at the same time I wouldn't have used an award to go SJC-BUR- which I've done when the RR2.0 redemption rate was really cheap (~3500, IIRC).

Add to that enhancements for elites like free same-day standby (which coupled with "A-61" boarding has been an excellent and well-used benefit for me) and unless Gary & co. do something really stupid, as long as I live in "WN West" territory, I'm here to stay.

(But I'm also Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite in SPG/MR, and yeah ... whole different story.)

ETA: and strangely enough (and I'm too lazy to check ) I swear I'm paying less overall, as well.
