It’s interesting hearing everyone at the gate telling the agents about Heathrow’s rules (not like it’s up to Swissport staff to decide whether to cancel or not). But they’ve all got a different version.
There is a certain personality type, not limited to air travel, which requires the individual to show his superiority over low-level types who are merely doing what they are told to do. All it does is prevent the person behind to stand in line longer to get his question or concern resolved.
Whether BA or third-party contractors, staff at the gate load aircraft when they are told to do so and make the announcements they are told to make.
