Bit late to the fray here but as far as I know there are resident discounts for:
- Philippines (Amanpulo)
- Thailand/Laos/Cambodia (all the hotels in these countries, applicable to residents of all the three countries across the destinations - i.e. a Thai resident can use a resident rate to stay at Amantaka/Amansara).
- Indonesia (Indonesia Amans)...
This is exactly what I needed re Amantaka and Amansara. That brings them down to a rate I can justify more often for a regional getaway^. At full rates, it is harder for me to choose these properties over other destinations at similar rates.. For example I’d rather go to Indonesia, the Maldives, or Amanpulo; but at a significant discount, that’s different.
