Please check but I think on a VA international ticket you would get reciprocal access that VA Golds get which is access to the Emirates lounge at LAX (Etihad if you take the morning Brisbane flight) and the rebranded Etihad lounges in Sydney and Melbourne.
SkyClub access is a benefit if I start in SEA (it's real nice). Yeah - was aware that DL only has SCs in the domestic terminals (T2/3) at LAX
