You should be fine if there are no major delays to NH5. Japan is known for their efficiency. If in the less than ideal situation that you are delayed out of LAX, there's NH885 that departs around midnight from HND to KUL (with lie-flat beds) - not sure if NH will arrange transportation between NRT and HND tho. Worst case, they'll put you at a hotel close to NRT and fly you the next day to KUL.

This question is better asked in the Malaysia forum. (if the flight numbers you provided are correct)
MH/NH are the same terminal in KUL (both in Terminal 1 / KLIA1) unless you are flying Air Asia Group plus other LCCs (e.g. TigerAir, Jetstar etc.), then it'll be in Terminal 2 / KLIA2. NH flights arrive at T1 satellite concourse but MH domestic flights depart from the main concourse (a train links the two and it's pretty straight forward to connect international to domestic at KUL T1).
