Since no doubt many Ansett GR members have been or will be earning points on other airlines in future, I thought I'd mention this here. I've just received a bonus signup offer from UA.

New members who are signed up by another member and who fly from here to the USA return in F,C,Y,B,M,H or Q class between 1/1 and 15/4 get 5k (economy), 10k (bus.) or 15k (first) bonuses. The referrer also gets the bonus.

Smaller bonuses (2.5k/5k/5k) apply to trans-Tasman bookings and the offer seems to be open to New Zealanders as well as Australians.
