Courtyard Oakland Emeryville (left Marriott, became Sonesta) [Master Thread]
Hi,
I had booked a room in Courtyard Oakland Emeryville on an Advance Purchase rate on Oct 31 2018. The rate policy clearly states that this reservation is nonrefundable if not cancelled within 24 hours. I cancelled the room in less than eight hours the same day on Oct 31. I have email records of the both the reservation and cancellation with date and time stamps. However, the Courtyard management is giving me the run from pillar to post saying that I cancelled after 24 hours. I even faxed them the email records but to no avail. Is there any way to resolve this gross injustice? Will AmEx (SPG card) get involved if I dispute the charge? Any help will be appreciated by the forum veterans. Appreciate your time.
