I'm in a community dinner theatre production next week, and the directors have added a song that I'm not comfortable singing. Most of the song is fine, it is just about hating fruitcake at Christmas. But the end of the chorus bothers me:

What in the world am I gonna do with a fruitcake
It's filled with all those squishy things that I don't like to eat
I wish there were a special place for fruitcake
And the fruitcakes who send fruitcake to me.

The last line contains an LGBT slur used as a general insult. Should I ask for a change? Or am I being overly politically correct here?
Our student choir is singing Baby It's Cold Outside this winter. I'd never actually listened to the lyrics before -- it's kind of creepy
