I assume your question specifically related to an Aeroplan redemption, or is it to ask whether anyone here thinks NZ J for 77,500 is worth it, or if 6 hours in AKL is worth it, or.....?
This is FlyerTalk. EVERYONE has their own perceived value. I have done RTWs where I flew for 4 days, which the great @
Adam Smith once referred to as "24left's 80 Hours Around the Wold".
I've done a couple of redemptions that others would call "different". I've done back-to-back NZ J just to "see how the other half lives". I just returned from a SIN and South Pacific trip that included multiple AC J, multiple UA J, NZ J and SQ First Suites for a nice 11 hour flight.
So, if NZ J interests you, do it. If AKL for 15 minutes interests you, do it.
Anyway, for me it's about the journey, not just the destination. Happy travels.
