I just flew HNL - DFW backwards. Flt 102 - Nov 11th -

Is there anyway to know before hand which seats are facing forward and which don't? I emailed AA customer service, and received a very nice email in return which said I could always check in with an agent at the airport and switch seats. The challenge is how would I know? I flew 4L out there, and it was a wonderful seat. 4L coming back was a bit of a surprise looking toward the back the whole time.
