LBJ - Thank you for finding that. Are you a Delta employee? 3 separate Delta employees, two via Diamond Medallion desk, told me today that this is new starting September 20th of 2018. The third at the airport said it happened in April of 2018. Additionally, I travel this route regularly and have never been charged before. United does not charge for it, I validated that via their website
