Hassling with the Wifi will only add to their stress and not really add any new information that will help them make a flight connection. The flight information boards and big airport signs are all they need. OP can provide them the 3 or 4 English words they'd need to look for (Departure, connecting flights, etc.) if they aren't familiar with them from traveling before.
They won't really need those words either. Just follow the purple signs until in the departure area, then go to the gate. As long as the parents can read numbers and letters and are not colour-blind, there's no need to read words.
