Not that it's any of my business, but is there a reason that you wouldn't simply book the rooms online and have confirmation in writing instead of calling and dealing with people? The only time I would ever use the telephone would be to access a special company or conference-negotiated rate that I can't meet or beat online. I've never had an issue with a lost reservation from online booking or any difficulty at all.
