If you wish for an informed reply you need to give details on the itinerary and flight number (not dates). It is impossible to figure out what she flew. Your comment "So basically she booked the flights as a return from LHR- KUL via NRT ... return" would suggest LHR-NRT-KUL-NRT-LHR..
S on MH earn 25% avios, N earns nothing
