Upgrade Dilemma
I am sure this may be covered somewhere else but so far I have had no luck finding it...
Due to business/work restrictions, I am either booked on economy by a travel planner or I cannot self-book anything more than an economy flight to submit for travel reimbursement. After doing so I almost always personally upgrade the flight to business/first-class? How can I do this so that I get all the PQM/PQS/PQD's related to the higher fare class?
I just did a trip that I paid over $600 to upgrade after the travel planners booked my original ticket. Any insight would be appreciated as next year I will be again stuck in this same situation numerous times.
