I don't mind the SFO AC. It is nice to have something when flying AS. It is also nice to use it as an arrivals lounge. Have a shower and freshen up before heading into the city. DFW was extremely disappointing, at least for international departures with their old and now temporary locations while Flagship First is being built. It wasn't the best way to start a QF F flight. The AC in Terminal 4 LAX was very nice.

Yesterday, coming off CX F in LAX from HKG I had a 3 hour layover to an AA Y flight LAX-PHX on a separate PNR. I went to the AC and when checking in the agent asked where I was going. I advised PHX but also mentioned I had just arrived from HKG. She asked if in J, I said F, she requested my CX boarding pass and then gave me an invitation to the Flagship First Lounge. It was nice to experience that.

Just when you think you have it all figured out, you soon realize you don't!

O/T for sure... but AFAIK you could have gone to the QF F lounge in LAX as you were connecting on a OW flight.
