Glad I took your advice & booked an earlier flight to CGK, leaving me 4-5 hrs to get myself from T3 where my SQ flight will arrive to T2 where my QR flight will depart.
Will post an update on the process of navigating between T2 & T3 - I'm going to ask very nicely for SQ to check my bags thru' to my final destination so that I won't have to schlep it across customs & terminals.
So the question that begs asking is - when will QR move to T3? I'm hoping that it'll be by month's end ... ^

I think it's entirely possible that QR might move to T3 by the end of the month given how short in advance the announcements are always made (~2 weeks), but I'm not counting on it. They said that they'll move all foreign airlines to T3 by the end of the year (pushed back from May, and again from last year September), but they say a lot of things
anyhow, safe travel always!
