Spent this morning doing exactly the same for insurance policies for 6 vehicles. www.directline.com were cheapest for our cars and took Amex. Tesco also did but were usually dearer probably due to fbg and all his clubcard points.

Could not find any that took Amex for commercial vehicles insurance
