If we're going to be pedantic (and I have no problem with that), Chestnut Hill is a neighborhood, not a town or city. It consists of pieces of Newton, Brookline, and Boston.
Having said that, the border of Boston cuts through Boston College, and the City of Boston includes the Reservoir (the "Chestnut Hill Reservoir"), the north half of Cassidy Playground, and the AC Marriott. The old "Circle Cinema" was considered a Boston theater.
To be fair, my friend who stayed there told me he was at "the new AC Hotel in Brookline", but he lived in Brookline the past 20 years or so until he moved away and he's a bit snooty.
