Air NZ and UA are both 10-abreast? I don't see how the seats can be any different in size.
Reviewing the seating information for both, in Economy, Air NZ gives an extra 2" of pitch (in most seats) and just under 2" of extra recline as well. I suspect that'd feel like a fairly big difference between the two, even though the seat width is pretty much the same.
