I seem to be able to get pretty good value for my UR points with Hyatt but looking at the hotel redemption partners with AMEX it seems like it's hard to get anything more than 1c per point. I would be looking for luxury properties, am I missing something? Any input?
Hyatt is an outlier as their points are pretty valuable due to their award chart (top properties don't cost much). Typically hotel chains have low valuations according to most blogs (under 1cpp). Additionally, when booking through the AMEX portal you don't even get 1cpp. While AMEX is better for airline partners, Chase has a strong hotel partner.
