Whether right or wrong - my opinion, you've reached a point of complaining about this where the hotel just doesn't want to deal with you - in a sense, you've been fired from this hotel as a customer. I suspect, your file says you were offered a suite at a nearby property and other things such as proactive communication- and the hotel probably said, you just wouldn't be satisfied - and however they score you in the CRM/Profile system has dropped so low you may not get the attention you want, or even deserve.
I could be wrong - I wouldn't be shocked if the hotel or even the GM wrote in your file, no further comp.
