The language on page two of my monthly statements agrees with what WineCountryUA cited. "30 days or one billing cycle (whichever is less) after we provide the statement on which the annual membership fee is billed."

Chase assesses the Chase MP Club card annual fee on the first day of the month in which renewal occurs, this varies depending on when you signed up for the card --- standard, long standing process for Chase, Nothing unusual about that

You were just one (including myself it turns out) that had November as your renewal month.

Not sure when UA made the posting on the website -- was not posted here until 3rd but the effective date is 1st of November 2019
