Paid a visit to the new lounge yesterday at a non-busy time (11:30-12:15). It is indeed massive and on two levels, easily 8 times the size of the old BA lounge. Nice views of the apron (even better from the upper floor). Upper level also has a smoking area with views of the MUC tower and the MAC.
Oh, to get there switch off your auto-pilot that tells you to look for it past the duty free shop at the end of B. The elevator to the new lounge is now immediately next to the security area. As you leave that make a left and turn left again.
The food is served on the lower floor, upper floor just has some fruit baskets and snacks. Three hot food items on display when I was there, a soup, vegetarian curry and chili con carne. Those looked and tasted like the stuff served at the LH lounge.
Large selection of cold cuts and cheeses (better than in the LH lounges). Wines, beers, spirits available (didn't check cosely this time), coffee machines, snacks and fruit, several deserts.
I'd say it is definitely an improvement over the old lounge. Although I didn't see an ice cream fridge, but it may be somewhere. The old staff is gone, though, the new staff didn't know where they went (they weren't BA staff). Looks like BA has no own staff in Munich anywhere now, except maybe a lone supervisor at check-in who I didn't see. Most of them were released sometime last year.
