Note that in many cases you will get more than the indicated EQD's. EQD's are calculated as a percentage of the miles flown, with the percentage varying by the booking code. For example, I have a trip coming up booked through Vacations. I booked F, and I think the percentage for my fare code is .30. I am flying 5802 miles so I will get something like $1700+ EQD's, even though the whole package is only a bit under $1300.

For the hotel, I think it's kind of like Priceline/Hotwire; you won't get points but you might get your status benefits if you ask.
