I'd forgotten about this news so was very surprised when I arrived at MUC tonight.
In a way I'm sad to see another BA lounge go, but the situation is certainly an improvement when it comes to the food, which is FAR superior here in the new place. Just had a really delicious vegetable curry and there are plenty of other options. There's also a jar of Ritter Sport chocolate bars (about 5 times bigger than the micro-ones the old lounge had) which will certainly take a hammering next time I'm here with the kids.
In terms of booze, the only negative (for some) may be an arguably inferior selection of spirits. Specifically, there is only some lowest common denominator Dewar's White Label whisky, while the old place had Jack Daniels, I seem to recall. In the new place there is also Absolut vodka and Bombay Sapphire gin, Campari and Bacardi, but no Baileys, from what I can see.
Where there has been a real improvement is in alcohol-free beer. In the new lounge there are THREE different local alcohol-free beers (actually they tend to be about 0.5 percent in Germany, I think).
Anyway, I seem to be banging on about the booze more than I'd intended... All in all, a nice place.
