As other have mentioned, go for Ubiquiti network devices : best bang for the buck. For 300 dollars you will get the USG + Unifi Cloud controllkey and a small UAC- Lite. That will outperform any consumer grade router and you will be guaranteed very regular updates which I consider absolutely key when it comes to network devices.
