In the US I don't see CP competing on par with Marriott and Hilton. They are too hit-or-miss, emphasis on miss. Many CPs are older properties with cheaply done renovations. Look past their new hip touches and you can see the lipstick-on-a-pig effect. I'd rank CP with Four Points and Doubletree, both of which seem to be catch-all brands for properties that don't meet higher standards to fit elsewhere in their respective portfolios.
