Sapphires and Emeralds get any seat for free at the time of booking. Rubys get it 7 days before the flight for free for all short and mid haul.
Exit rows on BA long hauls are only available for free at the time of booking for Emeralds. Sapphires and Ruby’s can select long haul exit seat at T-24
