No issues in my experience. I’ve done Germany-DC-Germany on a ticket purchased by work and DC-SFO-DC and DC-DEN-DC on Personal Tickets before flying back to Germany. No issues either time. Even got an agent at DEN to interline my bags from the one ticket to the other so it would be good to my final destination.
