Thanks. I'll try that next time. I have enough RPUs saved up where I didn't need access to the one that wasn't refunded right away. But I figured it was easier to get them to fix it before the flight rather than after; in case the RPU was still technically attached to the reservation and there was no note/log of me trying to have the RPU refunded.
Plus the upgrade to "PN" scared me. Seems based on other feedback that within 24 hours 1Ks are getting upgraded to "PN".
