with the daily NRT-LAX n ICN-LAX flight, there are at least 4 sets of crews on the ground in LAX. As per understanding, the crews usually have 2-3 days break before they fly back. As for the pilots, I think SQ have ask the pilots who was intended to fly the 2nd SQ37 trip to take this flight instead. They were position to LAX much earlier. And for the crew wise , most likely they are from the 2nd SQ37 trip as well instead of taking from SQ7/8 or SQ11/12 (as these are 777).
