So are they doing away with the traditional pension plan, and coming up with some sort of a matching 401K type thing now? Isn't that what most other companies have, anyway? The only company I've ever worked for that offered a traditional plan was American Express. I worked for United as well, but my salary scale got diddly-squat as far as a pension plan. It seems that moving towards an employee funded plan with some sort of match is the way things are done now.
