As T8191 has said, the Met Office forecast is not accurate for Jersey so I would ignore it. Jersey Met is very accurate, but only for about 48 hours out. In 7 years of living in Jersey I have only had one occasion of a diversion because of crosswinds, because of gusts in excess of 50kts. The Jersey met forecast is currently showing at worst a force 6 next week. I think the chance of you having a problem is very small.
