Just an update - we're now back in the lounge after a pleasant wander around the souk and the waterfront. The instructions from plunet worked perfectly - we were stepping into a taxi within an hour of landing, including 10 minutes for a drink in the lounge when dropping bags off. The staff in the transit area were absolutely fine with us going through backwards. We were delayed a little at the arrivals lounge because we forgot to bring our inbound boarding passes, but that was sorted fairly easily. QR50 to the souk and then QR26 back from outside the art museum. Very quickly back through the business class departure line and then back to the lounge .

Much more interesting than 6 straight hours in the lounge - thanks again.
