Lucky, or unlucky, as a employer I gain access to IHG merlin to study for their training , I found that they list the major competitors of Intercon is Hyatt and Westin and shangrila, and Crown Plaza's competitor is Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton

But I found in JP power's segment, CP is listed as only with courtyard and Hilton garden inn.

Aslo in most tier 1 Asia cities, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong...I can go on and on...

The CP in those cities is obviously not in the same league as Marriott, Westin or Hilton in same cities. I found CP usually located in 2 tier location of a city, comparing Marriott or others located in city center with lots restaurant and full service pool and probably spa, in Asia Marriott Sheraton or Hilton is built as real full service 5 star hotel that serving for many purpose. However CP is a lot smaller and just looks like a usual 4 star business hotel that only business people would want to stay there.

So can anyone tell me what is CP's competitor?

IHG told their employees that CP is full service and competitor is Marriott Hilton, but it looks like they are not really in same league.

I didn't have the balls to ask my boss about it. They already knows that I work here but only stay in Marriott.
