The double edged sword of course is that as they get to that age above 2, they're much more likely to want to climb on stuff, interact with seat etc etc, however they are also more likely to have speech and language and cognitive abilities whereby the need for this to be reined in can be explained and understood. I am really starting to see this now in my 2yo although this part of his development is the part he is furthest ahead of the curve in (eating is furthest behind fwiw, so one of our bigger flight planning headaches is food).
So not all 2yo kids can have this stuff explained to them yet and not all kids develop at the same pace in the same stuff.
I am actually wierdly now looking forward to being able to do a decent trip in Y / W as we can between us now commandeer a window 3, which means lots of routes and a/c are now open to us. J might be a while in coming again depending on how flush we're feeling.
