A few years ago after some back surgery I switched to only flying Business Class on transatlantic, transpacific or other long flights. I like the greater comfort, the greater pampering, and the way I could recline the seat flat for sleeping.

For awhile many airlines had seat designs where you could talk with the person next to you like in a regular airline seat, but in recent years it seems like almost all airlines are switching to Business Class seats that are like little cubicles at an angle to the axis of the airplane. They're very private but that's a problem if you are traveling with a companion and want to talk with them which you might want to do for business or pleasure. Last year I had a girlfriend who was a nervous flyer and liked me to hold her hand on takeoff and landing but you can't do that with these new designs.

Are there any good airlines with Business Class configurations suitable for talking, sharing, or holding hands with a companion?
