It is only when you check in and I wiish there was an option for aisle only. Too many times when I book last minute only the middle seats are left mostly because people are grabbing the aisle and window seat with their free companion upgrade at time of booking leaving the middle seat open hoping that the flight isn’t full then they have the whole row.
That is a brilliant idea. As a platinum when I book a V fare far in advance I would always use my complimentary C+ upgrade and put my spouse and I in an aisle and middle seat. I am going to do what you are suggesting from now on. Many thanks for this.
