Well as a regular I'd have to agree with the poor offering as a resort. However I have a reservation made prior to this non-announcement, a member of Marriott customer services confirming it wasn't a resort on the 23rd October and screen prints advertising it as a hotel and country club and not a resort. I shan't let this development tarnish my stay as that will be Marriott to deal with.
Looking through the pages though it does look like the race track and golf course and accompanying grounds are under the resort heading, but the hotel is separate.
