I remember a few threads on this forum reporting similar occurrences (incidentally, it has happened to me on a number of occasions, mostly with Amex – I remember once a booking for which I didn't get charged for over a month and I'm sure I reported it here), I wouldn't worry and just go ahead and cancel if that's what you're intending to do.
