Actually for the GO greeting, on recent flights I took on KA, the greeting disappeared, except on a HKG-PNH flight, I was greeted after meal service and they said that they were too busy so no time to do the greeting pre-takeoff.
I haven't take long haul Y flight on CX for a while and I did get greeting on PEY and J, the most recently flight on a Y flight between HKG-TPE, both ways no greetings as well.
I guess greeting is not that important as I usually have no special request other than a pillow but want to know what's the black and white requirement on this?
P.S. I dont even know GO can ask for water? Bottle one? I thought that's for DM only, and also fast pass, i thought that's for J/F only?!
Also they dont usually address by my surname hahaha although it's a pretty simple one.
Greeting itself is not important at all, but to me it kind of reflects the value of the particular tier to CX/KA. Not only greetings but also many things which have already been a let down in the recent months, first time in my 15-year membership to question about the value of GO...
Btw, I thought all passengers in J/F are greeted at some point during the flight, even if you're SL, GR or AM? Also I fly mostly on non-F birds and (the remote chance of) op-up from J is not too relevant. What I would feel appreciated and valued will be benefits when travels in Y...
